The Triathlon Preview Show

Aug 7, 2015

On Episode 2 of The Triathlon Preview Show Zach and Emily talk about their new album art. We also chat about the dynamics of August racing and how some athletes are looking towards the World Championships and others might be trying to collect last minutes points for the KPR.

We then talk about Wiesbaden 70.3, the European Championships, which takes place on a tough course in Germany. Some athletes have bowed out of this one while others are testing their legs for the upcoming 70.3 Worlds race in Zell Am See, Austria. A group of others might be there to steal the glory on what is forecasted to be a hot summer day in Germany on Sunday.

Ecuador 70.3 is a first year race that has attracted a small number of professional athletes. Tim Don looks to be the class of the men's field and Lauren Goss could take the women's title. However, Dede Griesbauer is hard charging for some "offensive" KPR points to sew up an August slot for Kona qualification.

Another first year race is Poland 70.3. A swim in the Baltic sea and a fast bike and run await a small professional field.

Finally, we start our coverage of the 70.3 World Championship that takes place on August 30 in Austria. Our topic this week: athletes who decided NOT to race and prepare for Kona in October without any major training or travel interruptions.
